Weisse Flotte Düsseldorf GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “Weisse Flotte”) operates two passenger ships, a permanently moored restaurant ship, and the Kasematten beer garden restaurant in Düsseldorf.
The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts and other services provided by Weisse Flotte to its contractual partners or passengers (hereinafter referred to as “passengers”).
Shipping:
In addition to the conclusion of a booking or charter contract, contracts are also concluded with the purchase of a ticket or voucher. Please refer to the supplementary conditions for online sales.
Weisse Flotte offers panoramic trips departing from Düsseldorf or Kaiserswerth, as well as regular trips to/from Düsseldorf and Kaiserswerth and day trips. During these trips, passengers have the option of boarding or disembarking.
Further events are offered in the Kasematten beer garden restaurant and on the MS Allegra.
Charter trips according to individual requirements and on request from an organizer are also offered.
For event and day trips, as well as trips where food and drinks are included in the ticket price, bringing your own food and drinks is generally not permitted. Unless expressly approved by Weisse Flotte, food or drinks brought on board may not be consumed on board.
There is no entitlement to a seat on the open deck. Dogs may not be placed on seats.
Animals, with the exception of dogs, are not permitted on board. Dogs that pose a danger or are required to wear a muzzle must wear a muzzle for the duration of their stay on board.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is only permitted in the outdoor areas of the ships.
Passengers should arrive at the landing stage approximately 15 minutes before the ship’s scheduled departure time. For day trips and event trips, we recommend arriving approximately 30 minutes before departure.
If a ticket purchaser or ticket holder arrives after the ship has already departed, they lose the right to participate in the trip or event without any claim for compensation.
Each passenger is responsible for ensuring that they leave the ship at their destination in good time. Due to the short stopping times on Panorama and Kaiserswerth trips, passengers are required to make their way to the ship’s exit before reaching their destination. Toilet breaks must be taken during the trip. When the ship docks, the toilet facilities are closed for cleaning for the next guests.
Interruptions to the journey for important reasons are permitted as often as necessary after an announcement by the ship’s personnel. A reduction in price is excluded. The instructions of the ship’s personnel must be followed in the interests of proper ship operation and passenger safety.
All passengers must behave in such a way that they do not interfere with the operation of the ship or endanger or disturb other passengers.
Passengers who persistently violate the rules on board, do not have a valid ticket, violate legal or official regulations, cause damage to property, or disturb other passengers may be excluded from the trip. In the event of justified exclusion, the ticket shall be forfeited and there shall be no entitlement to compensation.
If a minimum age is specified for trips, younger passengers shall not be permitted to board. For evening event trips on the White Fleet, a minimum age of 18 years applies, unless another age is specified.
If the guest does not participate in a booked trip or event within the meaning of § 2 of these General Terms and Conditions, the ticket or admission ticket shall expire.
In the event of loss of the boarding ticket or day ticket, Weisse Flotte may issue a replacement ticket during official office hours, provided that the ticket holder is registered with personal data and can identify themselves with personal documents.
Upon request, Weisse Flotte can arrange ticket insurance, which can be purchased when booking tickets online. If insurance is taken out, the general insurance conditions of the respective insurance company apply. Billing and any claims must be made directly to the insurer.
If an event is canceled by Weisse Flotte, the rightful ticket holder will be refunded the admission price. Further claims for damages, e.g., travel expenses, cannot be asserted for reasons beyond our control.
Cancellation by Weisse Flotte may occur for the following reasons: high or low water, bad weather, storms, operational failure, or other important reasons.
In the event of changes to a trip, ship charter, or event during a catering rental for reasons beyond the control of Weisse Flotte, a price reduction is excluded. In the event of high or low water, storms, or other traffic disruptions due to operational disruptions or interruptions, Weisse Flotte reserves the right to hold the event on a stationary ship and, if necessary, at another safe location (port) or at a different catering location than specified in the timetable, event description, or order confirmation. This does not justify any reductions in admission prices or refunds.
In particular, in the case of trips involving fireworks, Weisse Flotte excludes any liability for program changes and price reductions due to program changes. We expressly reserve the right to make program changes or replace individual artists. This does not justify any reductions in admission prices or reductions in the contract price of a ship charter or catering rental.
The liability of Weisse Flotte towards passengers, customers, or organizers is governed by the legal provisions of the Federal Republic of Germany. All items accepted by Weisse Flotte for safekeeping without payment remain under the sole care of the guest, even on board.
Liability for the loss of or damage to electronic devices, money, jewelry, or other valuables shall only be assumed if Weisse Flotte, its representatives, or its vicarious agents act with intent.
Deviations from timetables due to high or low water levels, bad weather, high passenger volumes, or other traffic disruptions caused by operational disruptions or interruptions for which Weisse Flotte is not responsible do not constitute grounds for compensation. No guarantee is given that connections will be met.
Passengers should report any damage to the responsible crew immediately after discovery, but no later than when leaving the ship at their destination, so that the necessary findings can be made. A breach of this obligation does not exclude claims for damages.
The Weisse Flotte transports bicycles free of charge on a single trip to Kaiserswerth. For space reasons, transport can only take place after direct consultation with the staff on site.
If there is space available on board, strollers and wheelchairs can be transported free of charge. The ship’s personnel may assign a specific place for this.
When storing luggage and coats, the instructions of the ship’s personnel must be followed. Passengers are responsible for transporting their luggage to and from the ship.
No liability is accepted for items and luggage brought on board. Items that pose a danger or may cause discomfort to fellow passengers are excluded from transport. These include, in particular, flammable, corrosive, foul-smelling, or other dangerous items.
Lost property must be handed in to the crew immediately. There is no entitlement to a finder’s fee.
Items handed in will only be returned on request and at the risk and expense of the owner. There is no obligation to identify the owner.
A ship charter is a package put together by Weisse Flotte for the customer or event organizer consisting of ship rental (with or without mileage), catering services, and, if applicable, artist or technical services for an agreed location, date, and period.
The rental of a catering area includes the provision or partial provision of a catering area operated by Weisse Flotte for individual use by the customer or event organizer with an agreed catering offer and, if applicable, artist or technical services.
In this area, written contracts are concluded in which the mutual obligations and contractual conditions are regulated. The General Terms and Conditions also apply to this area.
The prices for food and beverages can be found in the current food and beverage menus on site.
The fares for boat trips are based on the current timetable and trip description. Prices for boat charters are agreed individually. In the event of possible increases in fuel costs, Weisse Flotte reserves the right to charge an appropriate fuel surcharge.
The resale of tickets purchased from Weisse Flotte, online boarding tickets, or tickets purchased through third-party providers at a price higher than the final price stated on the ticket is prohibited. Commercial resale is prohibited. In the event of a violation, the tickets lose their validity and there is no entitlement to compensation.
The total price of the order includes statutory value added tax and is payable immediately after conclusion of the contract, including all fees.
Children under the age of 4 will only be transported if accompanied by an adult guardian (maximum of two children per full-paying adult).
One child aged 4 to 13 inclusive may travel free of charge with an adult on all Panorama and regular services between Düsseldorf and Kaiserswerth when purchasing a combination ticket. It is not necessary to register children when ordering tickets.
No discounts are granted to students, seniors, persons with disabilities, veterans, birthday boys and girls, or similar groups of people.
Tickets are available from the Weisse Flotte offices, selected third-party providers, ticket booths at certain landing stages, on ships without ticket booths, and online via the web shop. Online tickets are sent by email.
Tickets may vary in design depending on the point of sale. The decisive factors are always the details of the type of trip, number of passengers, date, departure time, departure point, and confirmation of payment status.
The validity of tickets for panorama and regular trips between Düsseldorf and Kaiserswerth ends at the end of the printed travel date. Date-specific tickets are only valid for the day on which they are issued.
Anyone who boards the ship without a valid ticket or loses their ticket during the trip and cannot prove that they have purchased a ticket must report this to the ship’s crew immediately. In the event of culpable violations, the fare plus a surcharge of EUR 50 must be paid.
Tickets must be presented openly when boarding, kept during the journey, and presented on request.
Tickets and admission tickets lose their validity upon leaving the ship and are non-transferable. Exceptions to this are interruptions of the journey in the context of scheduled trips with shore leave (round-trip option).
Non-personalized tickets are transferable to third parties until the start of the journey, provided they were not purchased at special rates or resold commercially.
If the ticket holder loses tickets or if they are lost within their area of responsibility, Weisse Flotte is not obliged to provide replacements. In the case of personalized tickets, Weisse Flotte can resend the ticket to the customer by email or make it available for collection at the office. The customer must provide identification when collecting tickets in person.
The purchaser must check the tickets handed over or sent to them after payment immediately upon receipt to ensure that they are in order and correspond to the order (in particular, the correct type of journey or event, date, number of tickets, and ticket price).
Due to the time constraints of the transport and event business, obvious discrepancies or defects must be reported to Weisse Flotte in writing (by letter, fax, or email) within five calendar days of receipt of the tickets, or in the case of short-term orders, no later than two calendar days before the trip or event, in order to give Weisse Flotte the opportunity to rectify the situation. Weisse Flotte is entitled to reject late objections.
Objections regarding tickets that have not been received or delivered must be communicated to Weisse Flotte in writing (by letter, fax, or email) no later than ten calendar days after the paid order, or in the case of shorter-term orders, no later than three calendar days before the trip or event, in order to give Weisse Flotte the opportunity to remedy the situation, e.g., in the form of admission regulations. Weisse Flotte may reject late objections.
If late notifications of discrepancies in the tickets delivered or received, or of their non-delivery, give rise to uncertainties regarding proof, these shall always be borne by the ticket purchaser.

§ 3 Exclusion of ticket returns and refunds
There is generally no entitlement to returns or refunds for tickets, admission tickets, vouchers for third-party services, or gift vouchers.
In the case of services in the field of leisure activities with a fixed date of performance, in particular the sale of admission tickets for events, there is an exception to the right of withdrawal and return otherwise applicable to distance selling transactions in accordance with § 312g (2) sentence 1 no. 9 BGB (German Civil Code).
Every order is binding upon conclusion of the contract and obliges the customer to pay.
Tickets or admission tickets will be taken back by Weisse Flotte if the trip or event is canceled in accordance with the organizer’s instructions. Tickets will generally be taken back and the purchase price refunded no later than two weeks after the date of the event at the advance sales office where the tickets were purchased or directly by Weisse Flotte.
In addition to a refund, Weisse Flotte offers passengers the alternative of rebooking or a refund in the form of a voucher.
§ 4 Liability
Reference is made to the liability provisions in § 4 of the General Terms and Conditions.
Weisse Flotte is not liable for disruptions caused by circumstances beyond its control. This applies in particular to disruptions caused by the failure or disruption of the telephone communication network or the power supply.
Furthermore, Weisse Flotte accepts no liability for the accuracy of the data provided on the Internet or for the technical faultlessness of the Internet offering.
§ 5 Resale
The resale of tickets purchased from Weisse Flotte (including delivered tickets and print-at-home tickets) at a price higher than the final price stated on the ticket is prohibited.
Commercial resale is not permitted. Any violation of these terms and conditions will result in the loss of admission to the respective event without compensation. In this case, the tickets will lose their validity.
§ 6 Validity of the General Terms and Conditions
In all other respects, the General Terms and Conditions of Weisse Flotte Düsseldorf GmbH in the version current at the time of conclusion of the contract shall apply.
