Today, Düsseldorf's casemates are the epitome of hospitality in a vibrant metropolis on the Rhine, offering an impressive, unobstructed view of the river. They attract not only large crowds of Düsseldorf residents who come to marvel, stroll, linger, and enjoy themselves, but also guests from all over the world. In a Mediterranean and often sun-drenched atmosphere, visitors can stop off with a view of the Rhine and the skyline of Oberkassel on the opposite bank, relax and unwind, and indulge in culinary delights in the midst of historic surroundings. Below the water level clock is the maritime beer garden of the “Weisse Flotte,” one of the most popular meeting places on the Rhine promenade. All year round, you can enjoy local and international cuisine, cocktails, ice cream sundaes, high-quality wines, coffee variations, cake specialties, and the most popular Rhineland beers on our terrace. In this unique location, you can also experience major TV events and Bundesliga soccer on big screens in a relaxed atmosphere. This is also the heart of the “Weisse Flotte” with its central starting point for boat trips. It is only a few steps to our permanently moored restaurant ship ‘Allegra’ (translated as “the cheerful one”), a former cargo sailing ship with a magnificent open deck.

Party boat with great attention to detail. Our Allegra, built in 1886, sailed for many years as a cargo ship between Basel and Rotterdam on the Rhine. It was not until the 1950s that it was equipped with powerful engines and served for many more years as a coal freighter. Conversions in the 1980s to a party boat were carried out with great attention to detail, without losing the flair of its history. It continued to sail the Rhine for many more years with party-loving guests. Even an open fireplace with barbecue facilities was operated below deck at that time. Now our old lady has been moored in front of the old town for almost 20 years and is popular with strollers and regulars who come for a cool beer or aperitif at sunset. Depending on the water level, getting on and off can be a bit tricky. Note the technique of the high-heel wearers! The spirit of years gone by still seems to be on board on some evenings. You can often see it in the wheelhouse! Sit on the upper deck, watch the Rhine flow by, enjoy the view of the chic Oberkassel Rhine front and experience the most beautiful sunsets in the state capital. That's our MS Allegra! Even in the cold season, this ship can be used on the open deck. It has a fixed roof, side walls, heaters, and ceilings. The crew of the MS Allegra welcomes you aboard!
